JOSE DEMANDS LAMPARD IS PART OF KAKA DEAL

JOSE MOURINHO has told Chelsea they can have Kaka - but only if Real Madrid get Frank Lampard in return.

Carlo Ancelotti is desperate to bring Kaka to Stamford Bridge after building a close relationship with him during their time together at AC Milan.

And Roman Abramovich has made it clear to Ancelotti the money is there for the Brazilian superstar.

Chelsea even sent their head scout out to Brazil's World Cup training camp to check on Kaka's fitness.

But Mourinho's arrival in Madrid has added a new dimension to the negotiations. The former Chelsea boss has already publicly admitted he would like to bring both Lampard and Ashley Cole to Spain and would use Kaka as bait.

Kaka endured a difficult first season at the Bernabeu and some Real insiders believe he is unlikely to be suited by Mourinho's management style.

Mourinho might be the highest-paid manager in the world but he will not have access to the same funds that were available last summer when Real splashed out on £250million worth of new talent.

Much of that cash was borrowed and Real are not in a position to repeat the trick this close season.

That is why he will have to wheel and deal - and Kaka, 28, could be his most useful bargaining chip.
Lampard was close to switching to Inter Milan two years ago but Abramovich stepped in with a new contract to keep the England star at Chelsea.

An offer from Jose would give Lampard, 31, a major dilemma. He has long harboured thoughts of a spell abroad but leaving his family - and Stamford Bridge - would be a major wrench.

Chelsea are in no mood to make life easy for Mourinho and would prefer a straight cash deal for Kaka with Abramovich happy to authorise an offer in the region of £50m.

It would then depend on how badly Kaka wants to renew his relationship with Ancelotti because Mourinho has made it clear he will not keep any player who is unsettled - including the man Madrid paid £60m for last summer.
